In the beginning years of the college we found that almost half of the girls got married by the time they reached 12th grade. This started improving gradually and today, only handful girls are married by the time they get enrolled in Bachelor and Masters programs. Also, we found the guardians, who were reluctant to send their daughters for higher education, they are supporting and encouraging them to finish at least masters degrees and then finish B.Ed so that they qualify for teaching jobs in Government schools and colleges as well as private intermediate colleges and convent and public schools. The most important social impact we have observed is that dowery does not play much important rolls in arranging their weddings but their education does play very important role in this matter. The best part is that they are getting married in well educated families and are quite respected in their husband’s homes.
